This is my first HDR photo. I really didn’t have any idea on how to do this. But I think this came out very good.
Today I went out with friends and they are watching their Aunt’s house, so we made a stop on the way home. This old barn was there. In the snow, I decided to take some photos. I am starting to really figure out my new camera with all the powerful settings that it has. It’s really making me rethink how I want to spend my life… But what is someone going to do with a degree in photography?

This little guy wanted nothing more then to chew on my lens. Every time I would get close to him he would come at me. They only time he would back off is when i would try to focus on him with the camera. Guess he didn’t like the sound that made.

This is Sam, my best friend. She is someone you do not want to make mad. Just because she is only 5’2″ doesn’t mean she won’t bite your head off. She has been there for me through thick and thin, good and bad, and I am grateful. Our friendship is to the point where we don’t need to finish sentences. We get a lot of weird looks because of this but we could care less. She’s an amazing person who will do amazing things in life.

This will be the first of I’m sure to be millions of photos I’ll post. My friend Hanna and her beautiful horse Emma. I shot this for my photojournalism class this fall semester. Using my soon to be retired Olympus E-500. I desaturated all colors except the brown tones to create this. She was talking to Emma telling her she needed to “Stay still ya loser!” and this is what i got. I always believe the best photos are never posed.
